Welcome to Northcote High School. Since opening in 1926, our school has been proud to serve the local community, and as we approach our centenary in 2026, we remain committed to providing an education that honours our history while embracing innovation and future-focused learning.

Our motto, Meliora Sequamur, “to follow the better path”, inspires our students to live our core values of Achievement, Curiosity, Humanity, and Fairness. These principles guide a learning culture that develops critical thinking, curiosity, and collaboration, preparing our young people to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

We support students to begin their Northcote journey with a comprehensive transition program that helps them settle in, build connections, and navigate school life with confidence. Our expert staff are dedicated to student growth, combining deep curriculum knowledge with high expectations to support strong learning outcomes. Our students’ VCE results reflect this ongoing commitment to academic excellence and future pathways.

We are proud of our diverse and inclusive community, where every student is valued and supported to succeed. Alongside academic learning, students participate in a rich extracurricular program including sport, clubs, and events. Our renowned music program offers a wide range of instruments, bands, and ensembles, including a concert band.
